News from the world of Sword and Sarcasm!

By John Jackson Miller on 5/28/2008 10:04 PM

Some new links to report. We've been added to BuzzComix.net — this is another voting site, so click here to vote for the strip. We've added the link at the upper right. Remember, you can vote both there and at TopWebComics for us once a day.

We've also added the site to some services that crawl the site looking for updates. We should be online at OnlineComics.net in a couple of days; and we're online now at Piperka.net, where you can bookmark strips you've seen. (We'll have to see whether our archive structure will work with Piperka; we'll keep studying it as we go along.)

And John has a new issue of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic out today. Check his site for more!

A holiday Monday here in the States, but Sarcasm never rests!

And a happy holiday weekend to all. Benedict and Herbert are heading out into the unknown — and speaking of wilderness adventures, don't forget to catch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, opening this weekend! Then hop to your comics shop and buy the graphic novel adaptation, penned by John. Check his website to learn more!

And our second story arc, "Biting Words," begins today as Herbert and Duke Benedict make their way to the edge of Tyranto, in search of the wizard who bound their fortunes together.

For the first few updates, the strips from this new story will append to the existing archives for the first storyline; afterward, we'll break them out for ease of navigation. Always link to the front page (www.swordadsarcasm.com) for the latest updates!

And this strip completes the first 22-strip (comic-book sized) storyline, "Farce of Arms." Be here Monday when we begin Act II, "Biting Words"!

And now we're on TheWebComicList.com, with updates being regularly flagged. Visit and mark us as a favorite!

Alternatively titled, "I Never Studied Law!" Ah, Chuck Jones cartoons...

We're hurtling toward the end of "Farce of Arms," the first story arc. The next chapter — well, it's pretty hairy, in a manner of speaking. More about that coming soon...

And now's as good a time as any (overdue, in fact) for us to activate the spanking new Contact page!

And with this episode we discover that, yes, Scrubwater is a part of the Duchy of Tyranto — though they don't exactly have cell phones yet. We do have that map coming — look for it later this month!

Just back from our first promo appearance at Oconocon — great seeing everyone there!

And a merry May to all. Nearly forgot to post the new strip — forgot what day it was!

Chuck and John will be appearing this Sunday, May 4, at Oconocon in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Click here for details about what's looking to be a great show!

And John has two appearances Saturday, during Free Comic Book Day: a morning signing at NEWFOD's Ego Con, held in the Elizabeth Inn in Plover, Wisconsin — followed by his third annual signing at Galaxy Comics in downtown Stevens Point from 1:30-4. If you're in these areas and you don't get your spiffy free Sword & Sarcasm bookmark, it won't be for our lack of trying!

And welcome to another week. Don't forget, Chuck and John will both be at Oconocon in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, this Sunday! More details in Thursday's post.
