News from the world of Sword and Sarcasm!

By John Jackson Miller on 6/25/2008 9:41 PM

Sounds like Benedict's gotten in trouble again. Big surprise!

We're both down over the passing of George Carlin — John has some remembrances over on his Faraway Looks blog. He'll be missed — he inspired a lot. (Including, coincidentally, a bit coming up here in a few weeks. More on that later.)

Finally — if you're going to Wizard World Chicago this weekend, drop by the Dark Horse Comics booth. John will be signing there starting at noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. See you then!

And welcome to another week of Sword & Sarcasm.

John will be at Wizard World Chicago later this week — check back here Thursday for his signing times at the Dark Horse Comics booth!

And welcome to another Thursday strip — this one actually featuring both a sword and sarcasm!

...science has followed. The New York Times has a piece on the scientific process behind the production of sarcasm. Who knew?

And we see again this episode just why Duke Benedict's people miss him so much!

Another show appearance in a couple of weeks; John will be at Wizard World Chicago, signing at the Dark Horse booth on Saturday and Sunday. Check back soon for specific times!

Again, another strip that should ring some familiar bells for readers of our first story!

And turnabout is fair play — rotisserie-style! Check here for Benedict's similar-yet-different experience!

More links to the right, as we're listed on several more webcomics lists from The Belfry to OnlineComics. Be sure to drop in and register your approval of S&S — your votes bring us new readers!

We've also added a link to Steve Horton's new book on creating webcomics. Steve worked with John years ago at Scrye... good luck with the new book!

Welcome to June! We've now established pages for each of the S&S storylines — so you can reach any of the chapters from here. The stories can also be reached using the navigation at upper left of every page — and then you can also page through chapters using our new title icons. If you've been bookmarking the archive page, check your bookmark to make sure you're on the latest story.

Some new links to report. We've been added to BuzzComix.net — this is another voting site, so click here to vote for the strip. We've added the link at the upper right. Remember, you can vote both there and at TopWebComics for us once a day.

We've also added the site to some services that crawl the site looking for updates. We should be online at OnlineComics.net in a couple of days; and we're online now at Piperka.net, where you can bookmark strips you've seen. (We'll have to see whether our archive structure will work with Piperka; we'll keep studying it as we go along.)

And John has a new issue of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic out today. Check his site for more!
