And with this week's strips, Chapter 3: Ruffled Feathers begins — in which the crafty and untrustworthy Duke Benedict concocts a devious plan to... well, that would be telling! We'll have a separate chapter archive for Chapter 3 when we get a few more strips online.
Doing some minor renovations around the site — including we're saving the daily strip with less compression, which should make the colors pop a little more. Pardon our dust!

And this episode wraps up chapter two of the adventures of Benedict and Herbert. On Monday, "Ruffled Feathers" begins — and it's a doozy!
The Duke decides to get rid of his accursed partner once and for all — while putting plans in motion to retake power in Tyranto. But the forces of Jelron are not to be trifled with — and there's a mysterious figure out there that isn't to be messed with, either!

A few weeks back we mentioned how the late George Carlin had inspired part of this sequence. He put out a book in 1990 or so called Sometimes A Little Brain Damage Can Help, and among other things it included a number of his fake news stories. One news brief noted how "In Italy, a statue of Jesus came to life and started giving fishing tips." Absurdly funny in the famous Carlin style — and when we needed an absurdity for the basis of commerce in the tall tale Herbert was telling... well, there it was.
