The Map of Herbert and Benedict's World!

Following the travels of Benedict and Herbert...

Chapter 1. Duke Benedict returns to Castle Tyranto, only to be turned out. On the road to Scrubwater, he hires Herbert and returns to storm the Castle. They retreat to Scrubwater, where news of the Duke's ouster sends them on their way.
They leave for Floodmyre in the far west (off the map, beyond Gadlin), in search of the wizard Jelron.

Chapter 2. Duke Benedict and Herbert bypass Nobbleton and enter the Forest of Thuungol in eastern Gadlin, where they are accosted by the Wuulfenkind. (The Forest and its strange residents had long served as a buffer between Tyranto and Gadlin.)

Chapter 3. Duke Benedict abandons Herbert on the Belford River and heads to his consulate in Belchester, where news of his ouster had not yet reached. Herbert floats downstream to Westport, where he realizes he must rejoin Benedict. Benedict's plan to raise an army to retake Tyranto is foiled because of his magical transformation, inspiring Lord Belchester, one of the leaders of Gadlin, to plan a strike against Tyranto.

Chapter 4: Casmerelda escapes the prison in Belchester, followed by Herbert and Duke Benedict. Together, they join forces against Lord Belchester, who plans to send marines up the Belchester River against Tyranto under the guise of a strike against Umberwell, further upstream.

Chapter 5: Unable to cross Gadlin to reach Floodmyre, Duke Benedict, Herbert, and Casmerelda take the rough road north into Lower Galphia. They buy a cart in Marin and continue west to Hibbleburg, where they take over Dobble's Cafe.

Chapter 6: Lady Hibernia's spy travels to her estate to warn her of Duke Benedict's arrival.

Chapter 7: Herbert, transformed into a human, travels with Benedict and Casmerelda to Hibernia's estate.

Sarcasm... with a sword!

Meet Duke Benedict, ruler of the Duchy of Tyranto. He’s not the greatest ruler in the world... OK, he’s actually the worst! And his people think so, too — which is why they took the very bright step of throwing him out on his ear. But he doesn’t give up that easily. Like the plague, he keeps coming back!

Which brings us to
Herbert. A mercenary by trade, he claims to be a minotaur -- and Duke Benedict originally thinks he's the answer to retaking his kingdom. But Benedict soon learns that Herbert is under a number of curses -- including having to follow the most obnoxious soul in the land ... him!

Fortunately for Benedict and Herbert — or perhaps unfortunately — they're not the only victim of transformative magic. When his apprentice Casmerelda gave him the cold shoulder, wizard Jelron the Beige cast a spell fusing her and her kitten familiar — turning her into a cat-girl sorceress! She didn't mind much — as it brought out her inner self, making her a happier, furrier person. But she'd still like to teach her former master a thing or two!
